Conductive Additives for EMI Gaskets

E-Fill nickel graphite materials offer the shielding effectiveness of silver clad fillers at a fraction of the cost. Our nickel graphite materials are optimized as required for use in molded, extruded and form-in-place applications.

Our flagship E-Fill product, nickel graphite powder, is the preferred conductive filler in the formulation of raw material for EMI gaskets and seals. Ni graphite powders are polymer additives that are usually combined with silicone to form thermally and electrically conductive elastomers. These nickel graphite conductive fillers give EMI gaskets shielding capabilities comparable to that of silver conductive filler additives over a wide frequency range.

An additional benefit of E-Fill nickel graphite is its angular shape coupled with Sulzer Metco Canada’s proprietary highly conductive hard nickel coating that gives the gasket material the ‘bite’ needed to ensure the best electrically conductive seal that enhances both RFI & EMI shielding and environmental sealing.

Sulzer Metco Canada’s Ni-graphite conductive filler is aluminium-compatible and provides enhanced galvanic corrosion resistance and stability in severe environments.

E-Fill excels in applications where coated flanges are used. The angular shape of E-Fill, coupled with Sulzer Metco's proprietary hard-nickel coating give gaskets the 'bite' needed to ensure optimal electrical contact.

Published data proves the shielding capability of nickel graphite is comparable to silver plated materials over a wide frequency range.
