Properties: Raney's nickel catalyst, before activation, is silver
gray amorphism powder, with moderate flammability. After
activation, it is black gray granule. It is not stable, and it is
easy to flame in the air. It must be stored in water or ethanol.
Uses: It is mainly used in the hydrogenation reaction of basic
organic chemical industry and some other hydrogenation reactions,
especially glucose hydrogenation and fatty nitrile hydrogenation.
It can be widely used in pharmacy, dye, oil, spice, synthesis fiber
areas, etc.
