OM TEX SILICONE WATER REPELLENTS. DESCRIPTION
OMTEX SILICONE WATER REPELLENT ( SILWR05) is a water dilutable alkali alkyl siliconate used for imparting a
colorless water repellent surface finish to mineral building
material without significantly reducing water vapour permeability.
OMTEX - SILWR05 develops its water repellent properties by reaction
with atmospheric carbon dioxide (CO2). The active substance formed
from the silicone water repellent is polymethylsilica. It is also
used to provide a barrier against rising damp and the treatment
remains effective for 5 10 years.
